With just two singles under his belt, singer and producer Kuba is very much at the beginning of his career. It's exciting to discover an artist who you're certain is going to have a promising future so early on in their musical journey. Listening to Kuba's work makes me feel how I imagine I would have felt if I had discovered The Weeknd after he first released Loft Music back in 2010.
Kuba's latest single, Fragile Precious, instantly hits you with a moody, electronic beat. The track boasts an almost hypnotic chorus, much like his first release, Pablo. The two songs have a distinct sound, similar to the likes of Lorde's Pure Heroine, SG Lewis's Dawn, Chilombo by Jhené Aiko and Miguel's latest release, Funeral.
The Manchester based musician's unique vocals are sublime, but it's in his production that Kuba really proves just how talented he is. It's deep, dark and synthy, and is nothing short of impressive.
I'm really excited to see what Kuba does next.
