New Music: Leeds based indie-pop band ALLEYWAYS dazzle with their new single 'Over It'.

It’s hard to believe that five-piece pop band ALLEYWAYS are only at the beginning of their career as the group are already well established in their sound. Packed with synth-filled melodies and catchy bass lines, ALLEYWAYS’ discography will appeal to fans of indie-pop greats such as Larkins, Marsicans and Glass Caves.

After the success of their EP Does It Matter? last year, the Leeds based band are back with their latest single, Over It, a track that acts as a social commentary about the way we live our lives online.

Frontman Dougie Turner said of the track:

“I feel this song captures the energy we had whilst writing it, and the meaning behind this track is something very important to us. We are a generation living our lives online, so it is crucial that we don’t regress socially. Now more than ever is a time we need to be reminded that community and connection in the real world is what drives us and ties us together. I’m also in love with the positivity that comes off this track, the energy it has from start to finish and that classic ALLEYWAYS sound that will get everyone moving.”

The track is extremely catchy. It feels almost impossible to sit still while listening to the punchy beat that demands listeners to move. It’s an upbeat, high-energy tune that is layered with vibrant guitar riffs throughout. Over It is the perfect song to see us through the summertime.
